Welcome to the Cherry Tree

Named after Olney's famous Cherry Fair, which dates back to the early 14th century when the town was surrounded by commercial cherry orchards, The Cherry Tree is a sensitive and elegant restoration of a Grade II listed building overlooking the Market Place. Open every day from 9am, it's a place where Victorian and Georgian features, original parquet flooring, period cornicing and original fireplaces sit comfortably alongside contemporary design.

The Cherry Tree is very much the social hub of Olney, equally at home serving coffee and pastries on a weekday morning as it is hosting a family Sunday roast or a Friday evening of dinner and cocktails with friends.

The kitchen is headed up by Head Chef Ben and his team, cooking freshly prepared dishes from the daily menu, from wood-fired pizzas and pasta to seasonal dishes from the grill and pub favourites, alongside a strong selection of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. The bar is stocked with cocktails, craft beers, fine wines and a broad range of gins and spirits.

Upstairs, the Hipwell Bar is our dedicated private space, ideal for functions, meetings and celebrations of all kinds. Talk to Michael and his team about what you have in mind.

Acorn Pubs

Acorn pubs are a collection of 9 pubs, 5 of which offer bedrooms, which sit primarily in the home counties. We could be described as ‘modern pubs’, with an extensive range of draft beers, wines and cocktails with a great menu of freshly cooked Mediterranean-inspired food, which centres around our wood-fired ovens and charcoal grills, using traditional cooking techniques and sustainably sourced produce.

Our buildings range from modern to historic, all rejuvenated into contemporary spaces that fit the needs of the communities they serve.

Whether our customers are catching up with friends over drinks, treating the family to Sunday roast in our restaurant, or escaping for a couple of nights to one of our hotels, we pride ourselves on offering the perfect, quality environment to suit, and warm, friendly hospitality.
